What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is known as the Science of Life
Ayurveda is a totally holistic science that evolved on the Indian sub-continent beginning some 5000 years ago. According to Ayurveda, each individual is unique, a combination of physical, mental & emotional characteristics which are known as his/her Prakruti (constitution). Many factors both internal as well as external can affect this constitution. For example, one’s emotional state, diet, daily food choices, season and weather, physical trauma, job, and family relationships. Once we understand that these factors can cause an imbalance in our constitution, we have a choice to take appropriate action to nullify or minimize their effects to eliminate the cause. Within the body, there is constant interaction between order and disorder. Once we understand the nature and structure of disorder we can establish order. It is a relationship between the individual and their environment.
Ayurveda recognises three primary energies, Vata, Pitta & Kapha. Together they regulate every physiological and psychological characteristic from basic cellular processes to the most complex biological functions. When these forces are in a state of natural balance the defense mechanism of the body works at peak efficiency.
About Ayurda
We live in a world of non-stop demands and ever-present temptations. These daily pressures put our body under stress so that our natural resilience is threatened, and gradually the body loses its innate ability to rejuvenate, resulting in ill health and disease.
Sometimes called “The Mother of All Healing”, Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest health systems still in use today. From its earliest origins, Ayurveda is a system which looks at the whole individual, not just the symptoms they are experiencing in the present. After 19 years of practicing Ayurveda in India, In 1996, Dr Ajit established an Ayurvedic health practice in New Zealand, and over the next 30 years, along with his wife Rippan Sandhu, they formally introduced Ayurveda to the Australasian health and wellness landscape, with health consultations and his teaching.
Ayurda is aimed at making it easier to help more people live balanced, healthier lives.
With Ayurveda as the foundation, the Ayurda brand recognises that we are all different. Ayurda’s products contain only natural plant and mineral ingredients, with careful, precise blends to nourish each person’s unique make up. Ayurda’s products actively work to restore the body’s natural balance, helping to purge toxins and aid tissue to rejuvenate.
Through the modern-day application of ancient Ayurvedic wisdom and principles, Ayurda can help you to live a busy active life, to feel good and to age well.
